A good lesson doesn't only depend on a clearly structured lesson plan but on how much we can engage learners in learning. Robertson and Auckland propose three additional elements for a good lesson.
They are E. S. A.. E stands for engage--to get students interested in what they learn;S stands for study--there must be some new language or new experience to be gained;and "A"stands for active--students should have the chance to produce language in meaningful ways.
